Nadine Christensen and Anne Wallace

Recent Paintings

Melbourne artist Nadine Christensen creates paintings featuring still life arrangements positioned across landscapes and abstract motifs. In these new compositions, the artist explores a curious sense of stillness. The paintings draw on a range of subject matter from National Geographic magazines and the internet, to rubbings and found op-shop science texts and postcards.

Brisbane artist Anne Wallace creates paintings of urban environments that are psychologically charged. Apparently mundane scenes are bestowed with evening light to create eerie and haunting scenes. Other works capture the everyday and overlooked aspects of our suburban landscape.
