Photography and Filming Conditions and Permits

We kindly ask for all visitors to abide by our photography rules and guidelines so that everyone who visits TarraWarra can enjoy all that is Art, Place and Ideas on beautiful Wurundjeri Country.

Please read below permissions and *fees related to extended photo shoots, drone photography and filming.

  1. Visitors are welcome to document their visit with photos or filming for personal use – no permit is required. Visitors may use small handheld and mobile cameras to take photos for their personal use, unless otherwise signposted.
  2. The use of flash and equipment such as tripods, monopoles and selfie sticks is not permitted.
  3. Strictly no drone photography without permission.
  4. Photography can not be published on any websites without prior permission.
  5. Personal photoshoots that take more than few minutes require permission.
  6. Commercial, professional, wedding and engagement photography, professional social media accounts, and promotional filming and photography is strictly prohibited without a permit and prior authorisation. Please refer to *Fee Schedule and Permit Application Form for further information.
  7. Student photography may require a permit. Please see the application form or contact us if you’re unsure.
  8. Please see event ticketing for T&Cs of filming and photography of events or discuss with our team.
  9. Inside the gallery space, please do not lean on walls, glass, cabinetry, or window frames. Please look after our artwork.

Thank you for your consideration. As a not for profit Museum, all fees paid assist us with our ongoing running costs and development of creative programs.
