We are all visitors: A bilingual exhibition tour with curator James Lynch and artist Meng-Yu Yan
TarraWarra Museum of Art invites you to a walking tour through Inside the Mirage with curator James Lynch and artist Meng-Yu Yan 颜梦钰. This tour will include live Mandarin interpretation, provided by Yan Yu Lok.
Yan’s practice moves through darkness, doubling and desire, drawing on French Surrealism and Daoist philosophy across photography, video, sculpture and installation. Their video work Double Witness, featured in the exhibition, pays homage to Qiu Miaojin, the queer literary icon and Taiwanese writer whose final days in Paris haunt the work’s emotional and conceptual core.
On this walking tour, Yan shares the observations and ideas behind Double Witness and its place within Inside the Mirage, in conversation with Lynch.
Tickets are strictly limited.
