Analog Art Club 2026
Analog Art Club
Inspiration, without interruption.
Analog Art Club is a statewide initiative that invites Victorians to slow down, switch off their screens and connect in real life — through art. Hosted by galleries across Victoria, these phone-free events offer a welcoming space to reflect, discuss and experience art together, making creativity social, accessible and refreshingly analog.
This program encourages deeper connection with both art and community by fostering genuine, screen-free engagement in a relaxed and inclusive environment. As part of the Analog Art Club, join us on a series of extended drawing workshops inspired by the Country, landscape and the surrounds of Tarrawarra Museum of Art and its Collection. Centred on the theme of the Wurundjeri seasons that are designed to inspire a deeper respect for Country, First Knowledges, place and contemporary art and culture.
Led by an accomplished TWMA artist and educator. These intimate drawing sessions will begin with mindfulness exercises designed to help connect with the present moment, fellow participants and the natural surroundings. Throughout the workshops, participants will receive group and one-on-one guidance on techniques and processes developed around considered observation encouraging a disconnection from screen and mobile devices.
First Friday of the month at 2 – 4.00pm
Upcoming Analog Art Club dates and times:
Friday 6 March 2026 – Free drawing and walking with James Lynch

Curator James Lynch will lead a series of sustained slow drawing activities to help you disconnect from technology and reconnect with the physical. March is the beginning of Luk, the season of the eel for the Wurundjeri. For this drawing workshop participants will walk and draw working with pencil on paper on paper to interpret gullies and waterways of the estate. A variety of creative drawing exercises will emphasise processes of looking, feeling and mark making in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to reconnect with your creative side, Analog Art Club offers the perfect opportunity to switch off and let nature guide you. By slowing down and observing closely, you will leave with a beautiful artwork.
(Friday 3 April 2026 – Good Friday public holiday. No programs running on this day)
Friday 1 May 2026 – Somatic workshop with Deanne Eccles

Join us for a unique Analog Art Club experience led by Yarra Ranges artist Deanne Eccles. This somatic workshop invites participants to explore the relationship between body, perception, and art, offering an experiential way of engaging with artworks beyond visual analysis alone. Drawing on Eccles’s long-standing practice in performance, the visual arts and informed by Goethe’s philosophy of colour, the workshop encourages participants to encounter a unique opportunity of selected works from the TarraWarra Museum of Art Collection through one’s senses and felt response. Participants will leave with fresh insight into their emotional and bodily responses to art, along with a richer, more embodied language for understanding how artworks are deeply experienced — not just seen.
Places are strictly limited and all materials supplied.
Analog Art Club is a joint initiative of Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) and ArtsHub.
