Archibald Prize 2019: Drop-in Children's Workshop

Wednesday 2 October 2019
11.30AM-1PM
BOOKED OUT

Visit TarraWarra Museum of Art on the last Wednesday of the school holidays to take part in a free, drop-in artmaking workshop inspired by the Archibald Prize 2019.

Meet practicing artist and Education Coordinator Shannon Lyons outside in the picturesque surrounds of the Museum and participate in an ‘Exquisite Corpse’ portraiture workshop, designed to allow primary school-aged children and their parent or guardian an opportunity to work together and create an extraordinarily wild and wacky character!

The workshop will run on a continual basis and visitors can join at any time during the session. This hands-on activity will involve drawing and other two dimensional processes, with all materials provided.

After the workshop head inside to view 51 portraits by leading Australian artists in this year’s Archibald Prize exhibition.

FREE, reservations required. Please reserve tickets for participating children only – parents/guardians included with each ticket.

This workshop is recommended for participants between 5 – 12 years of age. Parental involvement and supervision is required for all participating children. The workshop will take place outdoors and is drop-in, subject to weather and capacity. Admission fees apply to view the Archibald Prize 2019, see website for details.
