School Holiday Workshops: Construct Your Dream 3D City
This school holidays, join us for a playful, hands-on workshop inspired by The City Wakes, The City Sleeps curated by Dr Victoria Lynn and James Lynch
Harness your imagination and help build a collaborative city at TarraWarra Museum of Art this Summer. Construct Your Dream 3D City invites children aged 6–16 to explore creativity, design thinking and hands-on making in a playful, structured workshop led by TWMA’s artist educators.
Inspired by the Museum’s exhibition The City Wakes, The City Sleeps, which explores how artists depict urban life, the workshop encourages participants to consider the ways cities grow, change and respond to human needs. Children will experiment with 3D construction techniques using mixed media, repurposed and organic materials to build their own imaginative architectural forms.
Each participant will design and assemble an individual structure and contribute to a large-scale collaborative City Installation. This growing collective artwork invites children to think about urban planning, community, sustainability and the shared spaces we live within.
