Dough Portraits with Søren Dahlgaard

Sunday 1 June 2014
11AM-3PM

In an exciting public event, for the forthcoming exhibition, TarraWarra Biennial 2014: Whisper in my Mask, which is being curated by Natalie King & Djon Mundine, internationally recognised artist Søren Dahlgaard will take a new series of his well-known Dough Portraits at the Museum on Sunday 1 June.

Søren has travelled to 15 countries on 5 continents between 2008 and 2014 to create and exhibit over 2,000 Dough Portraits with people of all ages and backgrounds.

The artist photographs people with lumps of dough draped over their heads at schools, community centres, public spaces and art biennales, inviting them to question their own identity and give new meaning to the idea of portraiture.

Free event, no bookings required.

Participate in this exciting project and your Dough Portrait photograph may be included in the Biennial. You will also receive a Polaroid of your Dough Portrait to take with you!
