Open Weekend 2018

Saturday 17 March 2018 - Sunday 18 March 2018

Our Open Weekend is a FREE family-friendly, two-day opportunity to experience the Museum and its surrounds in a fun-filled atmosphere. This is the fourth annual Open Weekend, in partnership with the Yarra Ranges Council. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a picnic on the beautiful Museum grounds and partake in the activities on offer over the weekend.

Saturday 17 March

Local Artisan Makers’ Market

Over 25 stallholders will sell crafts and designer products, showcasing some of the Yarra Valley’s best local artists. Pull up a spot on the grounds surrounding the Museum and enjoy some of the food vendors creations of paella, wood fired pizza and delicious sweets.

Drumming Workshops (Saturday only)

1-2pm & 3-4pm

Feel the beat and exhilaration of drumming. Get involved in our free drumming workshops throughout the day. Fun for all ages.

Sunday 18 March

Free Sketch Workshops

Sit back on the grounds of the Museum and capture the views of the Yarra Valley in our free-roving Sketch Workshops guided by qualified teachers. All drawing materials will be provided or bring your own sketchbooks.

Purchase a cheese platter from the Yarra Valley Dairy stall throughout the day.

Live music by local blues and roots artist Richie Langford
