Textile Artworks Workshop

Tell a layered personal, historical and cultural story in textiles in this immersive workshop Layers of Country led by Jenine Godwin-Thompson, a Yaggerah artist from the south east Queensland area known as Meeanjin (Brisbane). 

You will learn to collage fabrics to create a two-dimensional relief artwork that explores layers of Country. You may include your own personal relationship with place, or make a responsive work inspired by the current exhibition The Soils Project, creating art about the relationship of soil with community, culture, materiality and spirituality. 

Your ticket includes entry to our current exhibition The Soils Project where you can experience artworks created by 13 practitioners and collectives from Australia, the Netherlands and Indonesia.

Cost: $20 per adult ($15 Members)

$5 for Yarra & Dandenong Ranges residents, thanks to Yarra Ranges Council.

Where: TarraWarra Museum of Art, Wurundjeri Country
