Virtual Slow Art Day

Saturday 4 April 2020
1-2.30pm
ONLINE EVENT

It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.
– Henry David Thoreau.

Join us for Slow Art Day online on Saturday 4 April from 1pm to 2.30pm. Head to our Instagram or Facebook pages to meet our Education Coordinator Shannon for a virtual viewing session featuring artworks from Making Her Mark: Selected Works from the Collection.

No bookings required, simply visit our Instagram or Facebook pages at 1pm when we’ll post two full artwork images along with some prompts on how to look at art slowly. Shannon will then lead everyone in an online discussion so you can share your thoughts on what you’ve seen and experienced while looking at artworks slowly in the virtual realm.

Slow Art Day is a worldwide event with a simple mission: to help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. While normally held in person at museums and galleries all over the world, this year Slow Art Day is taking place online.
