Discover art that soars.

Join us for a day-long program of conversation, food and culture on Wurundjeri Country in the YarraValley, as part of TarraWarra Biennial 2025: We Are Eagles.

Curated by Kimberley Moulton (Yorta Yorta), We Are Eagles takes inspiration from the powerful words of Pastor Sir Doug Nicholls: “We are not chickens; we are eagles.” This special event, in partnership with RISING, brings together artists, thinkers and communities in a gathering that celebrates cultural resurgence, resistance and renewal.

Set across the Museum and the new Eva and Marc Besen Centre, the program includes:

A conversation between artist Tom Nicholson and Wurundjeri language worker and artist Brooke Wandin, moderated by Kimberley Moulton
Film screening and discussion with Kimberley Moulton and artist Moorina Bonini
Artist talks with Moorina Bonini, Brendan Kennedy and Kaiela Arts including Gallery & Exhibitions Coordinator, Chloe Jones.
Community activation by artist Nadia Hernández in collaboration with Papelon, Footscray’s Latin American restaurant, who invites you to share in Venezuelan music, food and conversation.

Your ticket includes complimentary access to TarraWarra Biennial 2025: We Are Eagles, traditional Venezuelan food by Papelón and a FREE return bus from Fed Square available (departing at 10am and returning at 4.30pm – bookings essential).
