Australian masterpieces from the TWMA collection: Landscape

Past Exhibitions
21 March - 15 August 2010

This is the first of an ongoing exhibition series titled Australian masterpieces from the TWMA collection. TarraWarra Museum of Art holds one of the nation’s finest collections of Australian modernist and contemporary paintings. Featuring a DVD that outlines the development of TWMA and the collection from inaugural Director Maudie Palmer and current Director Jane Scott, visitors are invited to review this extraordinary collection. The theme of the inaugural exhibition, Landscape, draws on one of the key strengths of the TWMA collection, and features contemporary acquisitions by Ben Quilty and Tony Clark alongside significant landscape paintings by modernist artists Sidney Nolan, Arthur Boyd, Fred Williams and many more.
