Still

Still, an exhibition selected from the TarraWarra Museum of Art collection, is the Museum’s third and final exhibition at the Museum’s temporary home at the Metropolitan Meat Market Art Centre. The exhibition features mostly large-scale works that that display a broad array of approaches and responses to the genre of ‘still life’ painting.

The works range from the traditional 1962 Still Life by Margaret Olley to ‘still life’ paintings structured in accordance with modernist imperatives rather than more conventional approaches to their subjects, including works by Guy Stuart, Rosalie Gascoigne, Dale Hickey, John Brack, Tim Storrier, Charles Blackman and Brett Whiteley.
