We’re pleased to share that the upper carpark is now open and available for use. Thank you for your patience during the recent construction works. We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum and grounds — now easier to access than ever!
Carpark
Parking and Access
We’re pleased to share that the new upper carpark is now open, offering the most direct access to the Museum and Centre. This carpark includes designated accessible bays and a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone for buses under 10 tonnes. It is equipped with both a lift and stairs for ease of entry into the Eva and Marc Besen Centre.
General Parking
The upper carpark is the best option for general visitors, with level access via elevator or stairs. For additional capacity, our lower carpark (accessed via the compact gravel driveway at the estate entrance) remains available as overflow. From there, visitors can enjoy a scenic walk through the grounds, or call 03 5957 3100 upon arrival if assistance is required.
Buses and Group Visits
Buses under 10 tonnes may use the upper carpark’s pull-up zone to safely drop off and pick up passengers. Due to weight restrictions, buses are not permitted to park in the upper carpark. Only one bus can use the upper area at a time. After drop-off, buses must park in the lower carpark, which offers ample space for waiting.
If you’re visiting with a group, please allow time for arrival and entry. Exhibition tours should be booked online in advance. For assistance, contact 03 5957 3100.
Accessible Parking and Entry
The upper carpark includes four accessible parking bays located close to the Museum entrance. From there, visitors can enter via lift. If additional support is needed, our friendly reception team is available to assist.
Pram Access
Parents with prams are encouraged to use the upper carpark for the most direct and pram-friendly access. If parking in the lower carpark, the driveway up to the Eva and Marc Besen Centre road provides a gentle incline and is the most suitable path for prams.
TarraWarra Museum of Art is located just 10 minutes drive from Healesville.
Take the Eastern Freeway out of Melbourne, then drive east along Maroondah Highway through Ringwood and Lilydale to Healesville.
Alternatively, visit Google Maps to plan your visit to TarraWarra via Yarra Glen or the scenic drives through Manningham (via Warrandyte) or Nillumbik (via Eltham)
Take the Tullamarine Freeway (M2) and then take the first major exit on your left — the M80/Western Ring Road (Hume Freeway/Greensborough direction). Continue on the Ring Road to Greensborough and take the left exit onto the Greensborough Highway. Take the exit for Kangaroo Ground-Wattle Glen Road. Continue to the end, turn right and take the first left into Eltham-Yarra Glen Road. From Yarra Glen, follow road signs to TarraWarra Museum of Art. Please check Google Maps before you head off.
Due to our outer metropolitan/regional location, it can be very difficult to locate a taxi or Uber once you have arrived in Healesville. If you plan on traveling with a group you can plan ahead and book a charter service.
A PTV bus stop right is conveniently located outside the main driveway of TarraWarra. To get here, you will first need to catch a train to Lilydale station. Check the PTV timetable to plan your trip and check our opening hours when planning your visit.
